The firefox 3.6 Test build was a delight to use and I went around pestering everyone to give it a try. However, most of the Firefox fans were waiting for the official build to be released.

The wait is over guys. Official Firefox 3.6 Beta 1 is finally here! It definitely will get the ‘early adopter’ in you excited as it comes packed with Personas(themes), plugin-updates reminder and much more.

  • Improved JavaScript performance, overall browser responsiveness and startup time.
  • Support for new CSS, DOM and HTML5 web technologies.
  • Users can now change their browser’s appearance with a single click, with built in support for Personas.
  • Open, native video can now be displayed full screen, and supports poster frames.
  • Firefox 3.6 will alert users about out of date plugins to keep them safe.
  • Support for the WOFF font format.

If you fancy the above features, you can take the all new Firefox 3.6 Beta 1 on a ride by downloading it from here. (It’s available for Windows,Mac and Linux users)

Warning: If you aren’t all that used to working on non-stable releases, it would be better to steer clear from this update.
