I am a self confessed Dulce De Leche fan and love hanging out in Starbucks. In the near future, I will get to pay for my favourite drink with my iPhone rather than by cash/card.
Starbucks is apparently testing an application, that will enable customers to pay for purchases via their iPhones. It’s also planning to launch another application later this year, that will help find the nearest Starbucks store and provide information about what’s on the menu.
The company so far doesn’t have an official app of it’s own. However, there are many alternative apps available like iApp’s Find a Starbucks Coffee, ourLivez’s Sbux Card and Snow Storm’s Expresso Pro. The company officials said that the ideas came from customer feedback and from My Starbucks Idea, an online suggestion box launched last year. The payment app is being tested in 16 stores in Seattle and the San Francisco Bay Area. I hope it comes to the UK soon!
NOTE: Users can purchase not alone Dulche De Leche but anything that’s available in Starbucks. I have specifically mentioned the drink since I am addicted to it :)
