MuscleNerd has confirmed that the Dev Team’s carrier unlock tool – Ultrasn0w will work on the new iPhone firmware 3.1.2. However, users need to make sure that
- They use a custom firmware (ipsw) to update to 3.1.2 firmware.
- The baseband(modem) firmware should be 04.26.08.
Don’t go looking on the iPhone Dev Team’s blog for the update; as MuscleNerd decided to just tweet about it.
The following screenshot was also posted by him to prove that the unlock has indeed been successful on the 3.1.2 firmware.
