i tried the steps stated below to get rid of skype signin problem.. it was really irritating.. but now skype is working fine.
Problem with recent Skype service errors
such as not able to sign into Skype can be fixed if you remove
shared.xml file from the Skype folder in your PC.
From Desktop Tray, right-click Skype icon and follow this procedure:
Close Skype
Open My Computer
Locate Skype Folder
Tools
Folder Options
Enable show
hidden files and folders option
From Skype folder remove
“Shared.xml” file.
