Mozilla CEO, John Lilly, earlier today revealed that the company was going to launch a brand new application for the iPhone.
Mozilla will release an app to the iPhone App Store in the next few weeks. … It’ll surprise people
AwesomeBar and Weave (which let you access cloud-stored bookmarks and history) will be a part of the application. However, the big question is will Firefox be included? Apple will most likely reject it claiming that it duplicates core functionality of its phone (Safari).
iPhone users definitely need more options when it comes to browsers. The firefox based, flash-enabled browser on the Nokia N900 puts the Safari to shame. Wish we could use it on the iPhone!
