I’m using a 3g iphone with 2.28 base band and the latest version 3.1 .2… now the issue is that i’m confused if need to use yellowsnow or ultrasnow..please help

So you suggest using redsn0w to update to version 3.0? What about Pwnage 3.0? Will either one work? I have a Mac and an unlocked 2G iPhone running v2.2 using T-Mobile. Is redsn0w better/different than Pwnage 3.0?

I have a question. Has anyone tried to install ultrasn0w on a phone that wasn’t unlocked via yellowsn0w before? Does it work?

Hello I am also new to this whole unlocking and jb. I just bought a 3g 16gb with the 3.0 firmware. I have the latest imac as well. I need it to work on tmobile. can some please help me what to do from here. a link to a video or check list of what i need to do to get it working would be amazing!! thanks so much!

Thank you for your response i really appreciate it! I just didn’t know since i have 3.0 firmware on a 2g if that made a difference. If i brick my phone using redsnow is their anyway to unbrick it? thanks cojo

On that link you will find the tutorial to use redsn0w on both 2g as well as 3g.

Since you are a 2g user you will be able to unlock your iPhone right within redsn0w.

So software to use: redsn0w.
iTunes version to use: iTunes 8.2
Yes you will be able to use net and youtube.
