Starting today, UK consumers who have been waiting to lay their hands on the iPad can finally pre-order it on the Apple UK store. Unlike US, where iPad users have to resort to just AT&T, UK users get to choose between O2, Vodafone and Orange for the 3G data connection.

Vodafone offers 3G data connection on monthly basis; however, if you are looking for more flexi plans which let you choose the connection on daily and weekly basis then O2 and Orange UK is the way to go.

You can compare all iPad data plans offered in the UK at http://mypad3g.com/uk. I use Three and it works great in London, although I need to be careful not to exceed my monthly limit and get charged
