4)Go to Finder, press shift + cmd + g and type ~ / Library and hit enter.

5) Go to Application Support  >> Spotify .

6)Delete Spotify_new.archive and Spotify_new.archive.sig (If they are there).

7)Now open text edit.

8)Make two blank documents and save them as Spotify_new.archive and Spotify_new.archive.sig on the desktop. (the same file names as the ones you deleted)

9) Copy the two blank files from the desktop to the Spotify folder that you opened in step 5.

10)Right click each file and go to “Get Info”.

Very cool; how will this affect later versions? Will this affect any features? Thanks!

@Mitch The above guide is for those who want to enjoy the redesigned app before it’s available to everyone.

However, once it is available to everyone, you can just uninstall the Spotify app (downloaded using the guide above) with the help of ‘app cleaner’ or ‘appzapper’ and install the latest version directly from spotify to get timely updates!

The app won’t even open after install, how do I fix this? Done everything correctly here

@Lewis Am surprised that it isn’t working for you. Has worked flawlessly for almost everyone who has tried. Could you please uninstall the app and try the above steps once more?

Thank you. That worked without a glitch.
